1. What the results are
Our tools compute estimates from publicly available data and commonly accepted reference figures. No result carries legal or financial force, and none of it replaces professional judgment.
- Salary and take-home pay figures apply Korea's published social insurance rates and simplified withholding tax table. Actual amounts vary with dependents, tax-free items, and company policy. This is not tax advice.
- Severance and annual leave calculations follow general statutory rules; your employment contract, company rules, and individual circumstances can change the outcome. This is not labor law advice.
- Percentile ("position") figures compare your input against an estimated baseline we set with reference to published wage statistics — not a full survey of actual salary distribution. Don't cite it as evidence in a negotiation.
- Couple Referee is entertainment. It is not counseling or a legal determination, and no result should be taken as professional relationship advice.
- Fishing tide and spot data is reference material built on public datasets. Tide forecasts can differ from reality with weather conditions, and coordinates carry error. Always verify conditions on site.
- Minecraft seed information is second-hand data collected from public communities and has not been re-verified in game. Terrain varies by version and edition.
2. Safety notice
If the Couple Referee detects signs of physical threat or violence, it stops ruling and shows support resources instead. If you are actually in danger, please contact 112 or Korea's Women's Emergency Hotline 1366.
3. Limitation of liability
The Service accepts no legal responsibility for decisions made on the basis of information it provides, or for their consequences. Before any significant decision — changing jobs, resigning, signing a contract, spending money — please confirm with official sources or a qualified professional.
The Service is free and offered without warranty as to availability, accuracy, or data retention. Some features depend on third-party APIs and may stop working temporarily for reasons outside our control.
4. Data sources
The Service processes the following public datasets. Original rights and licensing terms remain with the issuing bodies.
- Wage statistics from the Ministry of Employment and Labor / Korea Employment Information Service
- Statistics Korea, Economically Active Population Survey
- National Tax Service simplified withholding tax table; statutory social insurance rates
- Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries fishing point data; Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency tide forecasts
- Statistics Korea SGIS administrative boundaries — Korea Open Government License Type 1
Type 1 licensed data is used under its attribution requirement. We do not redistribute the original files; only our processed derivatives are served.

Text, interfaces, and code written by us are the property of Gakjab Salim. You may use your own results freely for personal purposes, but please do not clone the tools or scrape the data in bulk for redistribution. If you quote us, please credit joeltool.com.
